PATIENT ASSISTANCE

Good Days works closely with healthcare providers, as well as specialty pharmacy, to provide patients instant access to the medication and treatments that can drastically improve their lives. Through our proprietary systems and unique organizational structure, we’re casting aside traditional business models and transforming the entire industry.

Direct Financial Assistance

Good Days provides financial assistance to patients suffering from chronic conditions who need medications. We establish individual funds for more than 30 disease states and raise the millions of dollars needed to provide financial support to patients who have these conditions but cannot afford their medications.

Our unique business structure designed to help as many patients as our funding will allow. To this end, all of the assistance programs we offer follow specific rule sets in order for patients to qualify, such as:

  • Patients must have valid medical insurance coverage. Please note, patients who are applying for copayment assistance must have at least 50% insurance coverage or more to be eligible for copayment assistance, excluding deductibles.
    • Please note, discount cards and programs do not apply.
  • Patients must have been prescribed a medication that is part of the Good Days formulary
  • Patients must meet our annual household income criteria

Additionally, criteria for dispense payment is set by Good Days and include:

  • Number of allowed dispenses
  • How often they dispense
  • Total funding allowed per dispense

100% Patient Compliance

Our strict regulations for assistance programs require each patient to be fully compliant with their prescribed treatment. By maximizing compliance, we’re able to allocate funds more appropriately to help as many chronic disease patients as possible. To assist patients in staying compliant, Good Days provides free access to the Patient Portal—the web-based tool designed to help patients better manage their account.

Premium Assistance

Through Good Days’ Premium Assistance program, we help patients find the insurance coverage that’s right for them. Although the Affordable Care Act states every citizen should be able to afford insurance coverage, patients fighting chronic disease are often forced to accept insurance premiums that are considerably higher than the standard rates. At Good Days, we work to ensure people get the right insurance coverage that fits their individual needs.

HelpwoRx™

The Affordable Care Act has increased the amount of insured patients which, in turn, has required service providers to increase operational efficiencies. By incorporating a universal version of our online patient portal with our CRM platform, DiseaseTrak, we’re able to advance our HelpwoRx online portal as a single point of entry for multiple patient access solutions.

OTHER TYPES OF ASSISTANCE

Good Days Supports Multiple Patient Needs

Good Days realizes that a patient’s struggle can go beyond simply having access to their medication. Maybe they can’t afford the travel or lodging fees associated with receiving out-of-town treatments from specialty medical centers. Or perhaps they are visually impaired and face problems securing transportation to their doctor’s office for treatment. Good Days is proud to provide financial and logistical support to patients with such needs.

TRAVEL ASSISTANCE

The progressive assistance programs offered through Good Days come with strict regulations in order to ensure patients are compliant with their treatment regimen. Sometimes, however, staying compliant can prove difficult when frequent travel is needed. The Travel Concierge Program, offered exclusively by Good Days, was specially created to help facilitate a patient’s access to healthcare whenever travel is required.

Transportation

We offer transportation services, from road to air, for pre-approved medical appointments as determined by the patient’s prescribing physician.

In order to ensure specific travel accommodations are available, qualified patients must be enrolled in a Travel Program at least two (2) business days in advance of their healthcare appointment. An appointment with the healthcare provider must already be scheduled prior to arranging transportation.

Lodging

From time to time, healthcare appointments require an overnight stay. Not to worry! Good Days will help arrange lodging as well as cover the expense.

Ancillary Travel Costs

Our Concierge Program works closely with patients to make sure secondary travel expenses, such as parking, fuel and meals, are also covered.

BENEFITS FOR PATIENTS

Our goal is to move as quickly as possible to reduce patient’s suffering by getting them access to their medication. The process of qualifying a patient and enrolling them takes about 30 minutes, and is usually done while they are still at their pharmacy. Our 20 trained Patient Care Specialists take in the patient’s relevant information (including name, age, address, household income, household size, diagnosis, and medication) and usually determine if they qualify for co-pay assistance from Good Days on the spot. Once qualified, Good Days provides “conditional approval” and authorizes the pharmacy to go ahead and fill the prescription for the first month.

While Good Days does not employ medical professionals or offer clinical care, our Patient Care Specialists serve an important role for our patients and their families. Patients who come to Good Days are typically sad, frustrated, confused or angry at the system. Our Patient Care Specialists are trained not only to guide patients through the complicated process of getting their medications, but also to provide emotional support and comfort during a difficult time.
