Make July 10th National Chronic Disease Awareness Day

Why Chronic Disease Awareness Day Matters

Good Days has provided more than 800,000 grants and helped more than 500,000 people with access to healthcare resources. For some, chronic illness is not preventable. For others, personal responsibility and accountability towards one’s health can make all the difference.

Every day in the United States, seven out of 10 deaths are caused by chronic diseases. Simply by increasing national awareness we can reduce the occurrence of chronic illness and related deaths. That is why chronic disease sufferers, their families and friends across the country join Good Days to recognize July 10th as Chronic Disease Awareness Day.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

How to Request a Chronic Disease Awareness Day Proclamation

Chronic illness sufferers, their families, friends, and the entire healthcare community can join Good Days to recognize Chronic Disease Awareness Day by requesting a letter or proclamation to commemorate July 10 from their town, city, borough, county, and parish or state government offices.

Good Days will work directly with you to prepare and submit proclamation requests to your local or state government offices. To participate, email info@mygooddays.org with the subject line: Chronic Disease Awareness Day. Each municipality is different. Research your specific municipality’s website for proclamation requests. Please include your name and daytime telephone number/e-mail address of the applicant.
