Awareness and Events

Here at Good Days, we know fighting chronic disease is a never-ending battle. That’s why we’re proud to support and celebrate both our patients and partner associations throughout the year on all their successes. Below are a couple upcoming events that help push our mission forward nationwide.

National Chronic Disease Awareness Day: July 10th

Good Days brings together thousands of health professionals, educators, caregivers and chronic disease patients who agree that by simply increasing national awareness, we can dramatically reduce the number of chronic disease-related deaths and relieve many of the burdens caused by these debilitating illnesses. Visit CDawareness.org to lend your support for National Chronic Disease Awareness Day and help make a difference in the life of a patient.

This year, CDA DAY was recognized directly by 5 states:

  • Connecticut
  • Nevada
  • Oregon
  • Texas
  • Washington

In addition, the CDA Day received recognition across 5 additional states through individual city recognition.  This included:

  • Boca Raton, FL
  • Bordertown, NJ
  • Catskill, NY
  • Cuyahoga County, OH
  • Fairfield, CT
  • Frisco, TX
  • Plano, TX
  • Portland, OR
  • Puyallup, WA
  • Washington, D.C.

Also, CDA Day was covered across multiple media outlets, including BusinesswIre, Huffington Post, The Lund Report, and The Mighty.

We’re incredibly thankful for the support of the many states and cities that joined to raise awareness this year.  We look forward to continuing working with people across the country to increase awareness and support for people (patients, caregivers, loved ones) affected by a chronic disease for the next CDA Day.

The Exchange from Good Days

The Exchange is Good Days’ annual conference that connects key healthcare stakeholders, advocates and patients to increase awareness and collaboration for the common goal of improving access to care and helping people any way that we can.

Our 2017 event was themed Stand Up for Good Days, featured legendary comedian Jay Leno, former host of The Tonight Show. In addition, this past year’s event featured John Wilbanks, Chief Commons Officer at Sage Bionetworks and a Senior Fellow at FasterCures, Vinh Giang, international keynote speaker, entrepreneur and magician, and Rolf Benirschke, NFL placekicker, Comeback Player of the Year and patient advocate.

Past keynote speakers have included broadcast journalist Tom Brokaw, former NFL star and television personality Michael Strahan, former United States President George W. Bush, and musician Bret Michaels.

The Exchange is held annually at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas. For information on our next event, including on how you can sponsor or attend, email TheExchange@mygooddays.org.
